Hi Guys It has been a while since we last posted something here so I hope you will all read and support us on our journey.   May Luncheon 2014. There were 100 members attending this meeting, as as you know space was very limited. The Kapiti Club have re-arranged the tables and leaners, so we had to shuffle things around a bit.I trust everyone was comfortable and could hear and see the speaker. We started sadly with the news of Gwyn Gunn passing, she was such a lovely person. I followed that with the news that Ex-President Jim McKenzie was in hospitable, but was expected to return home sometime this week. Gerald and Elaine Bond were celebrating their Blue Sapphire 65th Wedding Anniversary and should receive a acknowledgement from The Queen. The Queen and Prince Philip celebrated their Blue Sapphire anniversary in 2010. We presented a small gift to wish them well, and good luck to getting to their Platinum anniversary, 70 years.   Gerald and Elaine Bond with Wendy.

Gerald & Vince. Mitre 10.

Our speaker this month was Vince, from Kapiti Mitre 10.

He was a very engaging speaker and full of good information, so I hope you all enjoyed his professional presentation, and fun approach. There were beach balls bouncing around, Mitre 10 ones of course. Vince also gave away free beach balls to anyone who wanted one. He also donated some packets of coffee to go towards our raffle prizes, for which we thank him.   I think due to the large numbers there were a few problems with the vegetables towards the last few tables. Chef quickly cooked up some extra’s, but it appears they were a little under-done. I hope this did not spoil your day too much. Gill Graham has arranged a bus trip to Ashhurst for next Wednesday, cost $30. There are a couple of seats on the bus at the moment, so if you want to go  to go please let me know.  Thats all for now, I would appreciate some feedback on this post.

Thanks Peter President Kapiti Golden Group
