The Mid-Winter luncheon went extremely well, a few minor hiccups, but over-all it was very well received. There were 89 members eating lunch, with a couple who were just along to meet up with friends and enjoy the entertainment.
The superb table arrangements were expertly made and set for us by Joy Ellis, they looked absolutely marvelous, the first thing you saw when walking in the room. Thanks Joy.
We had a lovely three course meal of soup, which was delivered to the table, followed by mains of Turkey / Ham, with seasonal vegetables including potatoes. Desert was Christmas Pudding accompanied by Brandy custard.
The entertainment was Poetry and Pantomime.
Gill Graham recited the poem “T’was the night before Christmas” which was highlighted by Christmas characters flitting around the room, much to the delight of many members. It was certainly a fun event, thanks Gill, and all the Pantomime performers, for making it so enjoyable.
Below are a selection of photo’s taken during the day by Harry, our official photographer; All 100 photo’s will be on display at next months luncheon.
