Hi Guys, just a quick blog to report on our recent Bus trip to the Time Cinema in Lyall Bay. Gill Graham could not have picked a better day to go to the cinema, it was raining cats and dogs outside, while we were immersed in the quaint and cosy atmosphere of, Yesterday again today. If you have not visited this attraction you have no idea what you are missing.
The Entrance to adventure, and Margaret serving Morning Tea. ( unfortunately the picture of John was not good)
Following morning tea we were treated to an assortment of old news reels, advertisements, a Donald Duck cartoon, and a performance from the Henry Rudolph Singers.
The Henry Rudolph Singers of the day
There was then an Interlude, and lunch was served, an eye pleasing array of sandwich’s, hot chicken and accompaniments, followed by tea and cakes, absolutely lovely.
The main film was then shown, Casablanca, in black and white, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. I have seen this movie many times, on TV, but this was the first time on the big screen. It was a great film and much appreciated by all of the Golden Group.
Of all the gin joints, in all of the world, you had to walk into mine. Here’s looking at you kid.
So if you were not on this trip, you missed a great Golden Group day out, we had a wonderful time. Gill is a great trip organizer so make sure you book for the next trip.
We were taken on this trip by Dave, owner / operator of Coast Coachlines, in his new Bus, thanks Dave, everyone loved the experience of the new Bus.
